Renee Mellin has been a member of COTA since she went on her first trip in 2004. She uses her twenty-two years of experience as an ER and OR nurse to help in the operating rooms in Guatemala. This has led to several year-long jobs at home for COTA; procuring and packing supplies for the next team and using her photography skills to document team trips.In her spare time, she works as an orthopedic nurse in the OR at St. Joseph East in Lexington, Kentucky. She enjoys spending time with her husband, Greg, a surgical technician and their Manx and Siamese cats. Her hobbies include gardening, volleyball, antiquing and scrapbooking. She has two grown daughters, one in California and one in Ohio and lots of memories of special children she has met in Guatemala. |
